Begin to extract the skeleton

Today I was trying to make a basic skeleton which can act as the referances for the final surfaces.. Managed to get the top half..



The difficult part was the headlight profile.. I feel, its the most complex profile in the car.. Even now, it can be bettered, but I left it.. let me see how it looks in the overall profile..

The chisel is on the stone :)

So I have had the first cut made on the stone..
I inserted the three orthogonal pictures on the three planes as a basic guideline for the structure.. From there I got the overall rough shape ready.. this is the current state..

Introduction



It has been in my mind for some time that I should try building an entire car. So I thought of posting the regular updates so that your comments / suggestions / encouragement will act as an added push in realising this..

I will be using ProE Wildfire.. I hope to start it tomorrow.. I will start with some snaps of a Porsche model I have got to act as a guideline.. and continue to build from there.. Ultimately I would like to build it as a kinematics model so that I can use it for some Kinematics analysis as well.. But its too early for going into specifics as I don’t know how it will be when I get there..

Hopefully I will get there and it would be a nice then!
I cant imagine owning a real Porsche.. At least I have dummy one :)
